I love your short and informative posts (i.e. Pacifiers, Cheese, Toothbrush replacement, etc.) I wouldn’t mind seeing more posts like this. They are very interesting!

Thanks Rachel. I will keep those posts coming.

I would like to read more about your laser treatments for cold sores and the patients experience afterwards 🙂

If you look at my blog page and look for Mouth sores you’ll see an article that discusses laser treatment for sores.

I would like to see something about gum recession. Is it true it’s part of aging?

Gum recession can’t always be blamed on aging. There are several reasons why the gums recede with the most common ones being
repeated improper brushing and teeth grinding. This would be a good topic for a future blog.

How about tips for getting non-compliant spouses to resume dental care after a long hiatus?

You mean nagging isn’t working? 🙂

I like reading the articles about the history/folklore of dentistry and home cures.

My last facebook post is for you Judy.

I like the info on toothpaste, gum and other helpful tips. I also think it would be fun to learn more about the team since you are all so great!

Thanks for your reponse. I will try to pry more information from my shy staff and post it here or on my facebook page!

Dr. Judy is the best dentist I have ever had. Her calm demeanor and excellent gentle staff are wonderful and I feel like I am at home when I go to her office. I have never minded going to the dentist but Dr. Judy makes the experience pleasurable and painless. She explains everything in detail very clearly and will show xrays of problem areas. I enjoy the emails I get of her newsletter with dental tidbits and interesting topics. Additionally, her modern online appointment reminders that I keep in my email are great to remind me of my appointments. She is a GEM!

Thanks Raynah for your kind feedback.

Scott Bernstein, M.D.

I would enjoy reading comments about how oral health relates to overall health.

Thanks for your input Dr. Bernstein. I will definitely be blogging about this important and timely health topic.

Dr. Huey is by far the most personable and wonderful dentists that I have been to! I would love to see different ways to prevent gum disease and other oral diseases and the prevention of these diseases!

Thanks Chelsea. My latest blog addresses these issues.

I enjoy reading the newsletters, they are informative and well written. I couldn’t ask for a better dentist! Her staff is pretty awesome as well!!

Thank you Anita!

I would like to learn any kind of tips or ideas for incorporating dental care into your daily routine.

Brandi, it’s all about habits and routines. Just like healthy nutrition and exercise, regular brushing and flossing can be incorporated by repetition. Place that floss where you can’t miss it like on your pillow at night. Start flossing every other night and work up to nightly. You can dry brush (no toothpaste) while watching TV. It will all add up and make a difference with your oral health!

You have been my dentist since we found you in San Francisco, CA in the mid 1990s. Your care has always been gentle and professional. You seem to be on the leading edge with new developments and I love the way you always explain everything you are doing. Pleased keep all of this up becauuse it really works!

Thanks Betty! We’ll continue to try our best.

I like to hear about new developments in dentistry that may be helpful to me. I am typically not going to go searching for it unless I need it! Thanks and happy holidays!

Look for any new developments in my monthly email newsletter.

How much does toothpaste effect brushing? Is there a “best” one?

It’s really the technique of the brushing that makes a difference. Brushing for 2 minutes (which is actually a long time if you were to time yourself). Most people only brush on average for 30 seconds. Gentle (you’re not scrubbing grout) strokes to avoid gum recession. Toothpaste provides fluoride and the foaming action and taste will hopefully get you to brush longer. The best toothpastes have the ADA (American Dental Association) seal of approval. Next time you’re in to see Laura, she’ll be happy to review techniques with you.

I l-o-v-e reading more about you and your staff, Dr. Judy… I especially loved the recent personal stories about the fun things you and your staff do together.. such as your team-building events: the “cookie-baking” outing and your concert outing to US Airways for the Bocelli holiday concert…The stories and pictures are fun and it shows what a really great team you have there, working and playing together. You and your staff are so comfortable with each other —and you all make going to the dentist and very pleasurable and “not so scary” experience!!! ~~~ Best, always — Jere

Thanks Jere. Yes, we try to have fun both in the office and outside of it.

What is the best way to whiten teeth? Is there a home remedy?

Unfortunately there are no home remedies to whiten teeth other than avoiding food and beverages that stain teeth such as coffee, tea, red wine, blueberries etc…
We love our in-office whitening with ZOOM and have brightened patient’s smile 8 shades whiter with very little sensitivity. We also include whitening trays to maintain the new smiles.

I love the posts that I receive from you. I would like to see some inforrmation about latest technology regarding dental work.

Dr Judy, I like to see about gum issues and how to prevent gum problems.

Your timing is impeccable Lida. My latest blog is all about gum disease. How to prevent it and how it effects overall health.

Hello Dr Judy, I would like to see information about different type of brushes and pros and cons for each.

Dr Judy, I like to know about electric brushes. There are some many models out there and it is confusing to me.

Tkank you and happy holidays

That’s a great idea. Look for a future blog about toothbrushes-both manual and electric.

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Huey and am eager to refer her to people who may be in search of a new dentist. Dr. Huey is the best dentist I’ve ever been to and know I’m in great hands. I think that the blog is great…it’s short, with interesting tidbits and I always learn something new. A few things that I would like to see on the blog include addressing common myths and facts/what to be aware of for patients (like me) who have torai.

Thank you, Dr. Huey for loving what you do and being an amazing dentist!

Thank you Tricia for your great feedback. It’s patients like you and Nick and everyone who took the time to comment on my blogs that make it all worthwhile!!

I’m always interested in the latest breakthroughs in modern dentistry. I know you are always on the leading edge, but maybe you could keep us informed about what’s coming next. Thanks!

Thanks John. I always try to stay current on all of the new technology without resorting to using all of you as guinea pigs.
My monthly email newsletter will keep you informed as to what’s coming next.

You guys are great!!
