I beat the heat this summer by frequently traveling to the mountains to get some fresh air, get in a good cardio workout and refuel from the long weeks at work. Nothing beats climbing up to 12,647 in beautiful Flagstaff, AZ. All smiles at the top of that summit.

How do I “beat the heat”? I run my car without AC, and go run on the trail (right before sunset, preferably). After those experiences, nothing really feels hot any longer.

We watch our winter holiday movies. It helps to boost summer morale.

I go to museums, movies, or the mall — all are nice and cool.

I watch shows based in Alaska.

We do lots of DBacks baseball games at Chase Field. It’s air conditioned there so it’s really quite pleasant. We get to see our professional team, DiamondBacks, get some AC, and enjoy a great game.

I beat the heat by getting out of town 🙂

I beat the heat by cranking up the misters while grillin’ for family and friends. We can spend time outdoors on the hottest days, enjoy an adult beverage or three and still stay cool!

I beat the heat by walking early in the morning, before the temperatures reach 100, then staying in air conditioning or in the pool!
